At least 7 people have been killed by a tornado in an Evansville, Indiana mobile home park. Just got it via CNN breaking news.CNN is reporting 11 death, 160 injured now. Sad situation. :(My home townI am waiting for NWS to confirm but on ABC this morning they had reports of the damage path being 3/4 of a mile wide from emergency workers on the scene!! Can anybody tell me what does bandwith mean, in simple words? I've 5 Giga of traffic, but I don't know about bandwith. When I run a search for the word Daisy, I don't want every instance of the word Daisy to come up, I only want those page titles (which are each their own category) with the word Daisy in the Page Title itself, to come up in the search results. I'm considering purchasing a Nikon D50 soon. I don't have much money right now (barely $100) and it will take me quite a bit of time to save up for the basic kit. I've heard the lense that comes with the D50 is fairly good compared to most kit's, but will it be enough? I want to be able to do general shooting, though I would like to shoot a bit close or a bit wide every now and then. Not too extreme, really, but It would be nice to have a bit of leeway. I'm not sure how to rate the 18mm - 55mm included lense. The zoom is about 3X, I think, which seems fine to me. How close to my subjects can I get, though? And what about the apeture. Anyone has info on this? i've looked all around the www but nothing really convincing. Maybe EOS 3D? or the 5D MKii ?? who knows I used that camera on the local newspaper here in my town and is't great, a little bit slow but great i love how much you can see trough the viewfinder. Since it's old is getting cheaper, and i think that will be replaced or at least announced this year. I also took some pictures with the 70-200 2.8 and they were AMAZING! i couldn't get the same results with the same lens in my cam. I've also heard that the 5d and 40d share almost the same image quality. I don't know if any of you have some thoughts on this. Hi Everybody! I am new to this site as well as new to photography. I hope somebody can help me with the problem I am having with my Nikon D50. Yesterday, I was playing around with the settings on my camera. Today, when I attached the lense to take some pics, the flashing F-- wont go away, the camera will not let me take any picutres (the focus box is red). The best place to eat out is somewhere with a view. Here in the Philippines, there's a lot of restaurant overlooking some grand view of the nature... but most of these restaurants are pretty hidden from the rest of the world. Now what I am trying to do is build a more complex class structure for drawing to flash's stage. I had alot of stereo work done to the car recently. Afterwards i noticed that the fan blower has 5 different speeds when on. The blower does not work with speed settings 1 and 2, yet works with 3 and up. I bought some Sidi Crossfire SRS boots a few days ago. What I normally wear for comfort, is, 11's (that is what my DVS's are.) However, my running shoes are 10 1/2. Although, I bought a size 10 in the SRS Crossfire. So, my question would be: did i get a size too small? I'm not sure if they run small or large, and when I put on the 11's they fit nice but a little too lose; more like for comfort. They didn't have 10 1/2's. Can you clean glow plug the same way as you clean spark plugs... What would be the best way how to. I have a 1996 ford fiesta manual. When ever i switch the car on it wont fire up fully, the oil light come on when i put the key in also. There is also a lot of thick black dirt around the glow plug socks to. Cleaning a glow plug is a lot different from doing a spark plug! Maybe a spray on cleaner, and an old tooth brush. I want to print an 11X14 picture at a local camera store. The digital file has a pixel dimension of 3072 by 2048. The store says for an 11X14 I need a minimum of 2800 X 2200, so I am short on the one end. I start looking around in Photoshop and find the Image Size menu where I can change the pixels to anything I want. Hell I could make it 9000 by 6000 and have a 154MB sized file. I playfully call it "athletes lens" but there is nothing playful about it. Fungus will eat away at the coating on your glass and eventually bring about the death of your investment. It can be cleaned out but it's best to just prevent it as it will change the behavior of the lens, and that is if you can save it at all. To all the experts out there: I am new to photography. I enjoy taking pictures with digital cameras, but I feel a lack of control. I've got an upcoming exhibition early next year and I have to start getting some prints ready for sale. The images were all shot with my RB67, but for reasons of cost and consistency, I have decided to print the "for sale prints" digitally. I also have a large amount of 35mm and 120 film that I need to digitize. Thus, the time has come for some serious negative scanning. I plan on printing most of the images 16x20, and possibly a few up to 20x24. From what I have gathered, my options are to go with a neg scanner like the Artixscan (or possibly Nikon 9000), or have everything drum scanned. I'm considering purchasing a Nikon D50 soon. I don't have much money right now (barely $100) and it will take me quite a bit of time to save up for the basic kit. I've heard the lense that comes with the D50 is fairly good compared to most kit's, but will it be enough? I want to be able to do general shooting, though I would like to shoot a bit close or a bit wide every now and then. Not too extreme, really, but It would be nice to have a bit of leeway. I bought some Sidi Crossfire SRS boots a few days ago. What I normally wear for comfort, is, 11's (that is what my DVS's are.) However, my running shoes are 10 1/2. I want to print an 11X14 picture at a local camera store. The digital file has a pixel dimension of 3072 by 2048. The store says for an 11X14 I need a minimum of 2800 X 2200, so I am short on the one end. I start looking around in Photoshop and find the Image Size menu where I can change the pixels to anything I want. Hell I could make it 9000 by 6000 and have a 154MB sized file. I have opted to post this in Equipment reviews and discussion simply due to the fact I was a little caught off guard at the idea of howmany people have never heard of fungus growing inside a lens. I playfully call it "athletes lens" but there is nothing playful about it. Fungus will eat away at the coating on your glass and eventually bring about the death of your investment. It can be cleaned out but it's best to just prevent it as it will change the behavior of the lens, and that is if you can save it at all. i'm from Australia, and everyone here does talk with a rising inflection, including myself. To all the experts out there: I am new to photography. I enjoy taking pictures with digital cameras, but I feel a lack of control. I've got an upcoming exhibition early next year and I have to start getting some prints ready for sale. The images were all shot with my RB67, but for reasons of cost and consistency, I have decided to print the "for sale prints" digitally. I also have a large amount of 35mm and 120 film that I need to digitize. Thus, the time has come for some serious negative scanning. I plan on printing most of the images 16x20, and possibly a few up to 20x24. From what I have gathered, my options are to go with a neg scanner like the Artixscan (or possibly Nikon 9000), or have everything drum scanned.
